Mr Donahue,
I am sure by now you will be aware of my deep various concerns with regard to the present government
& their behavior since taking power.
So
I am sure it will come as no shock that I have particular concerns
about their policies regarding the sales of weapons, at a time when so
many people, in so many places, are falling victim of these weapons our
government is selling, to often, unstable regimes & countries with
very poor human rights records.
I have today read in the papers
that Vince Cables office , The Department for Business, Innovation and
Skills, granted licenses in January 2012, to unnamed companies 10 months
after the Syrian uprising began, at a time when we had seen David
Cameron brokering arms deal in Saudi Arabia & Qatar, nations who
have much to gain from war in Syria the wider region, and who are said
to be backing some very extremist groups involved with the rebel
factions, on top of which we have heard, stories & seen reports from
many internet sources & film recordings of some extremely beastly
behaviors by some of these extremist rebels as scribed by George
Galloway in his recent house of commons speech.
Once I again I
urge you to take the correct steps within your duty to your
constituents, & the people of the UK to hold cabinet & indeed
all of those accountable as to why & how, these negligent behaviors
happened, and make request that you will add your voice & support
to those of Dunfermline and West Fife Labour MP Thomas Docherty , plans
to lodge Parliamentary questions tomorrow and write to Cable, & The
SNP’s leader at Westminster, Angus Robertson MP, who is reported to
have said: he will be raising this in Parliament as soon as possible to
find out what examination the UK Government made of where these
chemicals were going and what they were to be used for.
I think
it is important that there is cross party support for any MP who is
taking the bold steps to actually challenge & demand answers from
this government on behalf of the people of this country who they
represent.
Their have been way too many exposures in recent
months of this governments back handed & behind closed doors deals,
to the determent of this country & others, & in light of the
many revelations we now know about the Iraq war & Afghanistan
involvement & war crimes, as disclosed by PFC Manning whistleblower
in cooperation with Wikileaks , the Guardian , Des Spegal & the NYT,
that have been shown to reflect our governments participation &
knowledge of war crimes & human rights violations.
Additionally,
we have seen great steps being taken by this movement to restrict the
free flow of information, journalism & freedom of speech thru
gagging orders, disclose of harassment & arrests of journalist &
media sources involved in challenging & questioning governments
behavior & revelations of government spying on the personal lives of
public and each other ...
this I believe, Mr Donahue ,is a very
dangerous sign in a governments behavoir , nor is it in the best
interest of the people, both at home & abroad.
I hope you
will urge your party leader and other members of your party to Join with
Mr Docherty & Mr Roberson in demanding explanations and answers
& in insuring that any one or company involved in inappropriate
buisness, political or ethic practice in regard to these licenses and
sales of chemical,l that have the potential to be of a danger to life as
a weapon , be made face the appropriate legal proceedings & that
includes holding David Cameron accountable for these highly ethically
questionable buisness deals be has been brokering with Saudi Arabia
& Qatar.
Again, let me thank you for your part in securing
the vote to prevent the PM taking us in to yet another war, in which
thousands more would have died.
I hope you will continue to insure
that this government is prevented form being involved in the loss of any
more civilians or indeed the Uk troops lives or injuries.
yours sincerely ,
june mackendrick
