Lets consider Bradly....

"
Bradley Edward Manning (born December 17, 1987) is a United States Army soldier who was arrested in May 2010 in Iraq on suspicion of having passed classified material to the website WikiLeaks. He was charged with a number of offenses, including communicating national defense information to an unauthorized source and aiding the enemy, a capital offense, though prosecutors said they would not seek the death penalty.[1] He was arraigned in February 2012 at Fort Meade, Maryland, where he declined to enter a plea. The trial is expected to begin in June 2013.[2]
                                                                                                                                                                                                     "

During world war 1 an apparently new breed of individuals who were against war became the focus of a propaganda hate campaign jeered on by government officials. These people were ordinary people who refused to be conscripted to join the military and bear arms, this could be on the grounds of religious or political objections, because they were pacifists, or a combination of these reason.
They were officially labeled conscientious objectors, and as such they were subjected to discrimination and a public humiliation.

It strikes me that these people were, given the realities of war, very brave men, because if we consider the reality of war, its difficult to justify it as anything other than barbaric& inhumane.

People, men, women and children are killed, in the most brutal manner, property is destroyed and other than making governments & their "brothers in arms" of the corporate variety, wealthy & apparently powerful in regard of flexing their political or religious muscles, in the name of power and glory.
War serves no purpose whatsoever of any good or rational variety to the ordinary people that make up the masses, in fact quite the opposite.

War causes misery, economic and social deprivation ,hunger, and displacement, not to mention all the physiological and sociological issues that come in the progress and wake of war.

Soldiers who are fortunate enough to make it home intact, suffer from trauma,(PTS), depression, and often,if not always, have problems readjusting back into civilian life.

Then there are those who don't make it home, & the affects that has on their families friends and loved one. Wife's and mothers, & fathers & sons,  & children, who experience short or long term emotional problems, problems that can result in more serious mental health issues developing, as it can with the soldier themselves.

And of course, there are those who are right there in the midst of war, existing as best they can, in war zones, where fear and hatred is within and without them and everywhere they turn around them...

War is undeniabley horrific for all concerned and I suggest the biggest contributor to mental health problems on earth out numbering any possible  genetically transferred mental health issue.

So, whats the point of it? cos no one like it,  noone wants it apparently, certainly the ordinary people living with it and who's taxes fund it don't want it.Its doesn't do them any good not one iotta.

It could be suggested that those who benefit most ,apart from the arms producers & dealers is the construction industry, all these infrastructure that need to be rebuilt.... eventually...
OH, and of course the chemical companies and drug producers do ok out it too, cos the drugs producers supply the chemical & pharmaceutical companies that make the drugs for all the poor fucked up people that need medications to deal with the consequences of war, are those in government & the hierarchy.

Now I shall address the Issue of Brady Manning, a very brave young soldier who awaits trial for allegedly passing information to the Wikileaks organization that revealed corruption, conspiracy, war crimes corporate crime and every which whatnot type of behaviors that big government and big corporate organizations are not supposed to be doing with our taxes, or indeed without.

The charges against Manning are because he was a soldier of conscience, because he had a conscience and because he could not bear what he had discovered , he was indeed, a conscientious objector to the improprieties that he saw , issues that he believed were wrong and a risk to public safety, not just to his own comrades and nation but to those in other nations where people , soldiers and civilians were being barbarically and unlawfully killed.

Bradly Manning did the right thing, and we the masses of the world should be grateful to him for his honesty,  for telling us what was going on, as with Jullian Assange, for bringing the news to us as a journalist , cos is that not what we expect of our journalist and soldiers to do? bring us the news and  work in the best interest of global safety and peace.

Since these two men accused of  serious criminality and espionage reveled to us the truth ,with documented evidence,  those they exposed, who were responsible for the criminality, have been on a propaganda and hate campaigns against them that are beyond believe.

Their personalities and personal lives and habits have been the focus of slanderous allegations,
They have been defiled and subjected to personal attacks and accused of mental instability and megalomania, and  their lives threatened, with calls from "so called pillars of society" for their assassination & death .
WHY? because they had the  integrity and concern for public safety,to disclose issues related to war crimes & crimes against humanity, for telling the truth.

Indeed Bradly Manning has been reported as having been subjected to treatment that is tantamount to torture ,physical emotional and mental abuse , for fuck sake, he is a 23 year old man, the treatment he has received is barbaric.

These men have not lost their liberty because of alleged crimes they committed they have lost their liberty because of the crimes they discovered & reviled governments were committing.

Julian Assange is not in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London because of trumped up sexual abuse allegations resulting from interactions with a politically motivated honey trap, and a silly fan who was cheating on her partner when she invited him to her bed.

Documented evidence  from the case suggests it would crumble  in a fair and just trail in court.
No, Jullian Assange is in the Ecuadorian Embassy in political asylum because his live is in danger of reprisals from those who were overseeing and propagating war crimes & other wrong doings that he exposed, the sort of crimes and governmental errors and misdoing that put lives in danger & at risk, not just from aggravated violent wars on foreign shores, but from economically motivated global corruption that endangers the masses via political and economic crisis, the war at home so to speak , that plunges economies into crisis, and ordinary people into poverty and deprivation that affects their physical , emotional  financial & mental health & destroys their spiritual well being.

My first official medical diognosis of depression

My first official medical diagnosis of depression was in 1995, when I was diagnosed with post natal depression following a very difficult pregnancy.

That's not to say I hadn't suffered from depression before, I was an adopted child, and although I had the most loving supportive parents and extended family & friends, adoption is not an issue that does not come without it's own set of mental health related questions & issues, the whys?- related to rejection issues, the who's related to identity questions, and all the other questions that these questions bring into play that can cause sadness, confusion and other emotional upsets.

However, as I said my parents were wonderful and supportive, and gave me the information they felt would help me cope with these issues and any questions I had.
Of course, there were questions I felt I couldn't ask, resulting from fears that my questions may hurt their feelings or cause them to feel I was rejecting them...
It can be very complicated, particularly during puberty & early teen years.
This areas are not the focus of this blogg though and can be returned to later .

My pregnancy difficulties were in relation to a grade A placenta prievia, diagnosed the week following my dad's death, in itself a very difficult time in my life.
I had to be admitted to hospital for the remainder of my pregnancy, again, as a mother of two young children difficult, as suitable arrangement's for their care had to be made, and  they were dealing with the loss of my father too, their granpa.
Then in addition to that, I had concerns for my mother, my mum had suffered for most of my life with the debilitating decease rheumatoid arthritis, and in addition had had pulmonary & lung problems as well as other health issues related to having poor immunity resulting from years of drug therapies for her various physical health concerns, not forgetting she was grieving her husband of almost 50 years.
It was a stressful time for all of us, and in truth my ex husband was not best placed when it came to family obligation or responsibility. Anyway, my mother took the kids too stay with her, and coped with the help of the extended family, friends and neighbors in caring for my two older children while I was confined to the maternity ward.

In truth, I think its fair to say I didn't have time to morn my dad, I had too many other things on my mind related to how my mum was coping with the other two weans, and of course the worries related to the risks of my pregnancy and loosing my baby.

I was in hospital for 11weeks and when my baby was born at 36 weeks he was a tiny wee laddie, but he made good progress despite contracting jaundices and the discovery of a heart murmur, and eventually I went home and was reunited with my other two children.

It was  a difficult time, and  in retrospect not surprising that I was to be diagnosed with post natal depression.
In addition to all the other things that had happened at that time, my former husband was having an affair, of course he was denying this, and frankly it was not the first time, he was a serial adulterer, but that was the least of my concerns. I couldn't prove it, although some time later the affair he was having resulted in the birth of another son for him some 17 months later, again something he dienied for quite some time in regard to admitting it was his child. At the time, when I confronted him regarding thees issues to address them and either end the marriage or work on it, I was told I was imagining it, obsessed with jealousy, possessive, neurotic, psychotic and frankly as mad as a hatter. I wasn't, but he was entitled to his opinion.
I include these issue in this blogg, only to reflect some of the issues I was dealing with at the time, that I have no doubt contributed to my post natal depression.

My saving grace came in the form of an angel called Elizabeth Forbes, Mrs Forbes was my sons health visitor and she suggested I find something that gave me, me time, a hobby or interest that was for me, some R&;R away from the other R of my responsibility.
I cannot stress enough the support that I got from Mrs Forbes, she was a wonderful health visitor, supportive, caring, non judgmental and she listened and offered advice not just on health areas related to my baby and other kids but, coping with three kids while depressed and stressed, I took her advice, and I joined a writing group and drama club at the Harbour Arts Centre, and began to have a few hours me time every week.

I had always had a keen interest in the arts drama and dancing primarily, and writing, had always been a release for me , therapeutically.

This "me" time, made all the difference in the world far more than any drug treatment I had received for the depression, which only served to enhance the it,  making me feel lethargic, tired , sick, and weary, and affected my eating, physical  and emotional health negativity. These side effects are not uncommon with conventional drug therapies for depression, not to mention that they can form addictive habits to the drugs, that certainly in post natal depression, is a temporary condition that will eventually pass in time.

Through my involvement with the HAC, I regained my confidence in my self and my abilities, I formed friendships and became involved with the center participating in other projects, I appeared in pantomime, and a production of Educating Reta, I devised directed &; produced a tribute show to musicals, and was involved with some performance poetry events.

I eventually was approached and offered a position as part time events co-coordinator at the center and was involved with some summer school arts projects and out reach work.

That me time , that Mrs Forbes suggested set me on the path to recovery from post natal depression and showed me that I was capable of being a mother and "me" an individual with a live outside my family obligations & responsibility, its important when working with our depression, that we realize, in order to express our love & kinship for others we must love ,appreciate and look after ourselves.

mentel health awareness week footage of me attempting to bring charges against officers from west mercia police who committed crime of violance against me in febuary 2009

A crime of violence against any individual is, I believe a violation of human rights.
Police officers refusing or attempting to obstruct charges being made in regard of a crime of violence is, I believe a violation  of human rights and civil rights, as well as derogation of duty, mal practice and obstructing the course of justice.

In February 2009 as a result of issues related to mental health concerns which had accumulated since my problems with Telford & Wrekin Housing Trust & Telford & Wrekin council, related to a previous Blogg post which I emailed Gordon Brown  the then prime minister about in 2008 when  I started this blogg "justice uk style 2008" my elbow was broken by two police officers who attended my home on a concern for welfare call.

In the period between 2008, when I read a letter to a magistrate regarding the issues with the housing trust and council, and February 2009 when the crime of violence and violation of my person was committed by these officers, I had perused every possible avenue known to me in attempts to rectify the issues in regard of the financial problems I was facing and what I feel now was in fact extortion of monies by the aforementioned local authority departments.
In my pursuits to rectify these issues I sought advice from benefits advisers at uni, the Citizens Advice Bureau, the councils own housing benefits adviser, lawyers, the ombudsman, liberty international and finally in desperation, I even began contacting  mainstream media of the uk, including private eye magazine, the politics show, this morning , bbc Shropshire and various other bbc personalities and shows that I thought might be of some assistance in advising me. At least I was ignored, at most I was left feeling like an idiot or trouble maker.I wrote to Gordon Brown and pleaded for advice.

I cannot even now, begin to express the emotional trauma I was  experiencing, the stress I was under, and the impact it was all having on my health as I continued to try and complete my university studies and finish my BA degree & look after my 2 sons who at the time still lived at home. I had to give up my Ba studies after the crime of violence as I was no longer able to comprehend or rationalize what was happening to me.

In November 2010 the issues with regard to rent & council tax payments were finally resolved some two years after I had tried to rectify them.
Telford and Wrekin housing admitted their error, as did the council and I was paid back the money they harassed me for, that I had rightly maintained all along I didn't own.( although I still don't believe I was paid in full what they owed me.)
As a result of their errors for the period I was at uni, and their denial of error I was threatened with eviction on several occasions & I was plunged deeper and deeper into dept as I tried to struggle on my income of student loans without the housing benefit I was entitled to as I was paying full rent of £380 a month, when in fact I should have been paying £80.I am sure you can imagine the impact this had over the period from 2006 when I started uni till 2009 when I finished.
But that was only the tip of the iceberg as they say.
The impact that the stress financial strain and inevitable depression I was suffering from as a result of these issues was also impacting on my relationship with my 2 sons as I tried to hide the financial difficulties, and went quite mad from it all.
I found it harder than usual to cope with their teenage behaviors and undoubtedly they were sick of my miserable face and behaviors also. My relationship with them broke down and they left to stay with their sister in Scotland. (there is obviously more to tell in this regard but for now I shall omit it as it is not the main focus of this blogg) .
Suffice to say for now only, that my children are my reasons & that as a result of the issues that occurred as a result of the housing trust & council financial stresses I was to loose the last two years of parental responsibility for my youngest sons live when he should, and I have no doubt under different circumstances, would, have remained at home... & rightly or wrongly I will always hold those involved in the Telford &;Wrekin housing trust & council who failed to pick up on, or rectify their errors, responsible for that lost time. Tomorrow my baby boy is 18, but as a result of everything that has happened our relationship has been so affected that I have missed the years during which he turned from child to young man, I can't express how much that hurts me.

On the day the crime of violence against me by theses officers took place they were attending my home on a concern for welfare call , the 2end that day, the first time officers had asked me to go to A&E for a mental health assessment to put my children's mind at ease as they were concerned I was suicidal, i agreed to do so, and they left me at the hospital, I had gone voluntarily was not under arrest or section and was perfectly within my rights to leave if I wished to do so , which I did after what seemed a too long wait on a trolly in the corridor. I went home,&; went to bed.
The officers who committed the crime against me arrived around 4pm. Their statements at the time for their reason for insisting that I return to the hospital differ from the once they gave me and in fact documented transcript reflects various discrepancies , ie I ABSCONDED from hospital, I could not abscond as I was not under arrest or mental health section. The judges in the criminal compensation tribunal found in my favor at the hearing and stated that the officers had been making an unlawful arrest, and that they had committed a crime of violence , however since then till this day I have been denied my right to a fair trail by the uk judiciary.

The events and issues I was faced with after the event in 2009 when the crime happened , beggars believe and the various barriers & obstacles that have been put in my way by the judiciary and other agencies has been unbelievable, in truth there have been times when I have wanted to walk away and just give up, but I can't and I wont because apart from the personal justice I seek, and am entitled to, I believe I have a moral and ethical obligation to others like me to raise awareness in order to prevent them from suffering  from the mental health & social issues I have fallen victim off, it was what I went to university for in the 1st place.

I have written to the prime minister David Cameron several times , my local MP Mark Pritchard  at the time , who I also passed on document to to be deliver to parliament after which I was ignore on by him on every attempt at contact I made contrary to his parliamentary duties to me as one of his constituents, I have written to Ken Clark and & nick Clegg and again tried to seek help via the bbc & media , I have  perused justice through the magistrates courts and been given the run around and I have had various other encounters with the police and been both harassed and arrested by them for various reason, I shall cover in another blogg at a later time as I have already discussed it on facebook previously.

My live has been turned upside down for the best part of 7years since I started my course at Wolverhampton university TCAT campus studying Health & Social welfare & european social policies, as a result of errors and mal practices by agencies representing local and national government, my right have been abused and I have been denied justice and I intend to pursue these issues until this is rectified as I believe without pursuit of justice in cases like mine, people like me will continue to suffer from discrimination resulting from poor practice and social policies and cover ups of government & establishment agencies  crimes, errors & mal practices that plunge people like me into circumstances that induce mental & emotional health issues that deviate their lives and the lives of their families and friends through the domino effect.

Please raise awareness of mental health issues this mental health awareness week and remember next , it could be you.

where does royalty fit in in modern society?

Try as I might, and believe me I have, I am unable to understand the concept of royalty & it's "patronage" and where it fits in in the 21st century.

I understand the arguments reflected in historical text that Royals led and worked on behalf of their citizens, though I can't say I agree that's true.

They may very well have provided for the basic needs of food, shelter, & clothing security & protection, but these concessions  did not come without a price and the cost was generally  hard labor, slavery & fear of  repercussion.

The inductions/ introduction into these positions were generally by force and arouse from the royal using some form or act of incitement or terror, originally for self glorification & or to extend the power & wealth of the royal, for instance,

Queen Isabella of Spain didn't send Columbus of on his adventure because she wanted to get friendly with the natives, she wanted to take what rightfully belonged to the native people of the lands he discovered and make them hers, and so has been the way of royal patrons since the concept of royalty came to be.

When we read history books it is well recorded and reflected that the roles between royalty & "their" peoples "nations" was of master and subservient. A non democratic system of great haves and have not's or have not so much's, and the introduction of class discrimination from which all other dictates of discrimination stem from, eg,
if Caesar decrees it is thus, then it is thus....

Therefore it is beyond my realm  of believe to understand how this concept can be accepted or fit in with the idea of democratic society in the 21st century.

I fully understand the arguments I have heard over the years that in the UK the royals promote tourism & good will, that they bring money into the economy via tourism, but I don't agree,.

It could be argued that "NESSIE" the Lochness monster & other mythical creatures attracts tourist but they do not cost the UK tax payer millions of pounds for their up-keep or the up-keep of their of spring .

Nor does it cost the tax payer to pay for them to go on  £50million for PR trips & up kep,  £48millions for weddings, additionally for £50billions here there & where everywhere for  birthday or anniversary celebrations that cost the nation millions of pound.

 http://www.theguardian.com/uk/2013/apr/02/queen-gets-5m-payrise-taxpayer

It could, and should be recognized, that the British Isles have a lot more to offer tourist than a visit to one of the royal residences to see how the flag is indicating whither the queen is resident or not, and may or may not perchance be passing the castle window and give a wee wave to passing tourist.

In fact, lets be honest, there are hundreds of castles within the British Isles that can and are visited by tourist as well as many other sites of historical and geographical interest not to mention the museums & arts, sports & cultural venues of similar and more interesting, so the tourist argument doesn't wash with me.

As for the "good will" well frankly, there have been more verbal gaffs by members of the royal family over the decades than I could even begin to mention here, but the following link may or may not amuse.

http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/prince-philip-quotes-relive-65-1445185
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/prince-philip/9883276/Duke-of-Edinburghs-best-gaffes.html

we commoners may be expected to mind our manners, but as for protocols in regard of royalty, well, it appears they think it perfectly acceptable to open their mouths and let their belly's rumble without due care and forethought to what they say, or who they may offend, and the implications or repercussions their verbosity could have on the nation.

It seems to me that the fact is, that little has changed about the attitude of royals to their citizens in real terms with regard to the distinctions reflected at the beginning of this blog, in how the differentiation between them and us  the commoners as they see it, is,.

As far as they are concerned,  they are born to rule and we should bow down to their superiority with loyalty  without question or discourse, cos we are born to be their subordinates.

& frankly, in my opinion that is nothing more than bollocks!which i pay little mind or heed to.

It is not only an insult to the intelligence of the masses but down right absurd in this day and age.

passing the buck ...

With the final body count of the Bangladeshi clothing industry disaster, when a fire caused the building to collapse and kill 1,127 people, there has been much discussion on who was responsible, with some quarters trying to pass the buck to consumers.
With all of this in mind I shall now voice my opinion on some of the issues that have been discussed.

Firstly,I don't think is fair to blame consumers for these types of disasters, however that is not to say that we as consumers don't have a responsibility in speaking out, and taking positive action to put pressure of those who are responsible to insure these types of avoidable incidents are subject to scrutiny, and the correct steps & procedures taken to insure they are avoided, as well as bringing to justice those responsible.

We the consumers and workers of the developed world have a responsibility to our fellow workers around the world in all industries & social sectors to show solidarity in their plight and the need for fair safe working conditions & workers rights & fair payment for the work they do.

It's not just about the production of cheap products & our ability to access them, at a time when across the world people are being subjected to harsh employment conditions, cuts in employment & reforms in employment polices & laws that benefit the employer but not the employee, all resulting from austerity, resulting in price hikes at the tills that put most working class and the poor under stress and strain when trying to budget their income and sustain the basic needs of their families for food, heat shelter & clothing....
who doesn't want to get a bargain? and who can blame anyone for that?

Lets not forget that these issues related to austerity arise from poor management and judgment within government and the financial sector in managing their economic responsibility to the masses the consumer, the worker.

Furthermore, many of these products that are made at the expense of decent working conditions, with child labour & poor pay, are sold to western consumers by big brand named companies at prices that are far from cheap in relation to  average income, I certainly don't consider 30-40 quid a reasonable or fair price for a pair of trainers for a child.

There is no doubt in my mind, that clever marketing and commercialism bread in  many the boardroom, of what appears to be contempt for the consumer by brand leaders, in a market place where competition in the market and greed, takes precedence over ethic and moral obligation to mankind, the fellow human being.

The branded producers & developers, the entrepreneurs directors and manufacturers have an obligation not just to the stock holders but to the consumers & workers to ensure their products are safe and risk free and that includes in the workplace, and they must take responsibility for the part they have played in the disaster in Bangladesh, and let us not forget that this recent disaster is not a solitary incident resulting from unfair unsafe work conditions, nor is it an issue that is only related to the textiles industry.

The rights of workers around the globe to work in safe environments with decent working conditions and fair pay, is, I think, is an issue of responsibility that firmly lies within the remit of government to ensure polices and procedure within employment law reflects high standards of safety in all areas that keeps communities safe and free from harm, be that from, poor standards of construction or poor or unjust working conditions to poor unfair pay scales.

It is the responsibility of government to serve the best interests of the nation, the masses, the workers not the banks or the elite.
Government is voted in by the people, employed by the people and thus they have a responsibility to serve the people and insure the best interest of the people is served & maintained and when industrial disasters happen that are not as a result of acts of natural elements , then it is with government that responsibility lies.

Dear Mr Donohoe
I write to in regard of the ongoing issues regarding
humanitarian journalist Julian Assange presently a
political prisoner in sanctuary at the Ecuadorian
embassy in London as a result of the extradition case
 against him.
I would be grateful, that as my local MEP you raise
your voice on my behalf and express strong concerns
regarding the unfair treatment Mr Assange has
received by the UK & Swedish judiciary,in regard
of the allegations against him for which he has never
been charged, and request that you make further
request for clear and concision response as to why
Swedish Prosecutor Marianne Ny has been allowed to
hold up proceedings and prevent and delay
the course of justice by her insistence that
 she will not question the
uncharged Mr Assange in London, at the Ecuadorian
 embassy or by video link,
as I believe her action to be illegal under European
law and that she is  in fact, by these action not only
 committing criminal infringements
of Mr Assange's human rights in line with the protocols
of the human rights act 1998 but but is also conspiring
with other involved in this case to prevent the course of justice.

Furthermore I would like some clear and concise answers
as to why the British government has failed to allow
insure Mr Assanges safe passage to Ecuador where
he has been granted political asylum by a legitimate
government who believe that Mr Assange would not be treated
fairly in Sweden, and further agree, that
Mr Assange would not be safe were he to be further extradited
by Sweden on to the United States of America to face further
allegations regarding his work as a humanitarian journalist
and as founder of the wikileaks organization.
These concerns for Mr Assanges safety that reflect his human
rights would be further impeached and which are supported by
the evidence of international reports which reflect high ranking
political and military personnel from the United States
have publicly called for his assassination an murder again
for alleged crimes,regarding his position
 as a Journalist and humanitarian.

Yours sincerely,
June MacKendrick

                                                    Wednesday 23 January 2013

Dear Brian H Donohoe,
I am writing with very serious concerns over the announcement on BBC
radio 2 that Stewart Hall TV presenter has been charged with the very
serious charge of rape and 14 counts of abuse and has been bailed and
released back into the public domain.

Firstly I feel it is reprehensible that these allegations have escaped
police investigation for more than 3 decades, during which time, should
the allegations be proven, it will reflect he has had opportunity to
continue with his criminal pursuits, putting at serious risk members of
the public just like me and my daughter friends and family.
I believe it absolutely beggars believe that this person having been
charged with these heinous crimes would be bailed and freed into the
public domain, particularity when the charges have been so publicly
reported and the public opinion is running very high and very angry
about this case and the others related to the Savile pedophile ring.
It was my believe that UK law deemed that citizens be protected by law
and that includes those who have been charged with crimes and who are
awaiting trial.
It is my believe that by releasing Hall into the public domain, not
only are the public being put at risk, but also Hall himself is at risk
as a result of public opinion & in addition Hall himself would be
considered a risk to himself from a mental health prospective as a
result of both the charges & public opinion.
It was my believe that under UK law criminals facing trial for crimes
as serious as rape and abuse were remanded until their trail date and
it therefore poses the question how many more people charged with rape
and sexual assault bailed and roaming the streets posing risk to the uk
public while they await trail.
I would therefore be obliged if you would raise these questions on my
behave in Parliament as I believe this is a serious question of public
interest and public safety.

In addition I am still awaiting your reply with regard to my
inquiry regarding Julian Assange and your correspondence related to
that issue from the home sectary,& I feel it relevant to ask why given
the bail & free to roam status of Stewart Hall a person charged with
rape & 14 counts of abuse, why Julian Assange who was not charged in
the UK or abroad or even questioned by the foreign prosecutor regarding
the allegations against him why was  he firstly imprisoned, then
released on an outrageous bail bond with tag when the allegations in
Sweden against him were with regard to a condom splitting, and yet to
date his freedom has been denied and his safe passage from the uk on
political issues denied by the uk government.
I hope you will give this your utmost attention as I am deeply
concerned regarding rape suspects being released into public domain
after being charged with this very serious crime as it poses a serious

21st feb 2013

Thank you for your letter of 24 January to the Home Secretary
on behalf of  Ms June Mackendrick, about the arrest of
Stewart Hall. I am replying as  the Minister responsible
 for crime prevention matters.

The decision on whither or not to charge an individual is an
operational matter for the police or the Crown Prosicution Service(cps).
Where the charging decision is taken by police, they must
follow the Police and Criminal Evidence act(PACE)1984
codes of practice code c, section16.
The codes of practice are available here
www,homeoffice.gov.uk

The CPS issues charging guidance which both police;&
 Crown prosecution must follow.
The CPS charging guide is available here www.cps.gov.uk.
It would be proportionate for me to comment particularly
as the investigation is still in progress.
However Ms Mackendrick may wish to direct her inquiry to the
Metropolitan Police Service which is conducting the investigation.

Dear Mr Donohue,
I write in response to your letter dated 20th March 2013,
detailing issues raisedby a Constitution, June Mackendrick,
in relation to the on-going investigation into
Stuart Hall. I am the Sinior Investigating officer (SIO)
 for the enquiry

Whilst I cannot go into the spasific details of the case
due to it being "sub judice" I do feel that I can make some
general comments which may go some way
to answering some points raised.

Firstly, I would like to reassure your constituent
that once these matters were reported to the police,
they were investigated diligently and expeditously,
leading to the cu rent proceedings.
I am unable to comment further at this time on the reasons
why they were not reported earlier to the police,
but once reports were made, a throughout
 professional investigation ensued.

Secondly, English law is rooted firmly on the premise
that a person is innocent until proven guilty.
As a result of this principle, the Bail Act 1976 states that
a person is entitled to bail, whatever their alleged crime
unless criteria apply.
This right to bail exsists no matter how serious the charge laid,
with the deprivation of liberty before conviction being a last resort.
This approach is further supported by the provision for conditions
to be applied to bail, to ensure that the public are protected
but that the person retains their liberty where
possible, until a determination is made of their guilty or innocence.
The police can remand an individual in costody when certain criteria apply,
from which the court then have the duty to determine the bail status
 of an individual.
The application of a Bail Act is generally a matter for the court,
following representation by the police, the CPS and the defence.
The Bail Act was the basis upon which Mr Hall recieved his
conditional bail with the court taking into account
all the relevant information and circumstances.

Finally , all persons who come into costody in Lancashire
are subject to risk assessment:
this assesses the risk of harm to them from others,
on going risk to community or specific victims,
and also any risk to they may pose to themselves.
Following this assessment, strategies are put in place to ensure
that any threats are mitigated and the risk of harm significantly reduced,
 where ever that risk arise.
i hope this provides answers for your constituent:
If I can be of further service please
do not hesitate to contact me..

YOURS SINCERELY
DCI NEIL ESSEEN
DETECTIVE CHEIF INSPECTOR

In conclusion to these correspondences
I will now briefly refer you the reader
back to my original letters and concerns
 and ask you to
make a fair comparison of the treatment
 recieved by Jullian Assange
who has not been charged with a crime either here or in Sweden
and indeed not only have the proceedings in Sweden not been
subject of
 proper swedich interview protocols
but the documented evidence reflects that
the sex was consensual with 2 adult women
and the original concerns were with regard of a split condom.

On the other hand in regard of Hall
the allegations were of child abuse
 and there were 14 counts
As is stated in my letter my concerns were
with regard to risk to both public &the accused.
I have academic, professional training and accredited qualifications
in child protection and policy issues
& risk assessment
As I recall in the early stages Hall in an interview,
where he denied his crimes made reference to
 suicidal thoughts,
2. we are all frequently warned about the dangers of the internet
&grooming of children by sex offenders
and this was not 1 or even 2 allegations this was 14,
over a period of 3 dacades of child abuse
which went for that time, apparently undetected.
3. public feeling is strong on this issue so there was
a clear risk
on various levels to both public and Hall so why is it that
he still remains a free man awaiting sentencing
 even now having admitted guilt?

I will leave it at that
& let you make your own conclusions...

prince Harry gives thumbs up to warrior games

Couldn't help but get a bit of an uncomfortable shiver this morning when I heard prince Harry's latest PR speech regarding his wish to bring America's warrior games for injured servicemen and women to the UK.  .
In an interview broadcast on  BBC news the young prince, carrying the torch for Britain, said;

"he believed the spectacle of ex-military athletes fighting it out in a stadium against each other would attract huge crowds."

Perhaps those who guide the young prince, who is not unfamiliar with controversy in regard to his mastery of the English language, as reflected after comments he made regarding killing  people in Afghanistan while co-piloting an Apache helicopter to provide air support for ground forces, was quoted as saying

“Who else could it have been? It’s Afghanistan. They’re all over this place in their dirty Taliban homes. Those Taliban kids are hard to hit, by the way—they’re quick.”

& when referring to his abilities flying the Apache helicopters was reported to have said

"It's a joy for me because I'm one of those people who loves playing PlayStation and Xbox, so with my thumbs I like to think that I'm probably quite useful."

would be well advised to give Harry some assistance with his communication skills, before letting him open his mouth and letting his belly rumble, particularly when we have education minister Michael Gove flying the flag so ardently for grammar and English language skills.

I think the subtle difference between the use of the words "fighting it out" and "competing in a sports arena"coming from the mouth of prince Harry, after the comments about killing Afghan  people in the call of duty, which  injured servicemen around the world would confirm, is not just a computer game , but a sad life changing fact of life for them , which comes often with on going trauma & challenges.

Of course staging athletic events in arenas for injured former service people will attract huge crowds as most sporting events do, I just hope that when the grandson of the leader of the church of England is giving the event the thumbs up he's not got hungry lions waiting in the dug out.
